We are proud to announce the second annual release of Master Distiller Greg Metze’s Infinity Blend Series. A testament to legacy and supreme craftsmanship, this new limited release is built on the foundation of the original 2021 Infinity Blend and completed with gently matured and hand selected barrels of Old Elk Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Old Elk Straight Wheat Whiskey, and two vintage Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys.

This year’s annual release of the Infinity Blend exemplifies what makes infinity bottles so unique. Like enthusiasts who blend fractions of their favorites in an unmarked decanter over time, Greg has created this blend to showcase his legacy and supreme artisanship – akin to an autobiography of a long and distinguished career. The 2022 Infinity Blend becomes an occasion to remember each of the good times shared while looking forward to new opportunities forged over a glass of whiskey.

Wheaters, come gather ‘round because this one's for you. A delicious and well-balanced wheated bourbon is something every whiskey lover should get their hands on. Ours is a chance for us to show you and the world what we’re capable of. By using our expertise in creating our delicious flagship bourbon, we tweaked our recipe and upped the wheat and kept the corn at the minimum. Our wheated bourbon consists of 51 percent corn, 45 percent wheat and four percent malted barley. The result? A liquid that allows for each ingredient to not only shine on its own, but highlights what happens when success meets craft.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Toffee, vanilla ice cream, caramel and floral notes.

Taste: Cream, toffee, vanilla, toasted almonds, clove.

Maker Notes

Double Wheat combines two of Old Elk’s most beloved and awarded wheater whiskeys: Old Elk Straight Wheat Whiskey and Old Elk Wheated Bourbon Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Thus creating an entirely unique pour. This is a merger for the more, yielding a higher proof (107.1) and a brighter profile whiskey in which a whole new category begs to be crafted.

A sipping experience that begins with delicate baking spices of cinnamon, vanilla, and almond, with a smoother, sweeter trail. It’s bright, fresh, crisp, with an undeniable finish of fruit—doubling down on all the classic notes that make our traditional wheaters beloved.

Aged in casks from Portugal, this luscious expression brings a taste of deep rich, ripe fruit with an aroma of oak and sweet honey—earning Port Cask Finish a spot in Whisky Advocate’s Top 20 Most Exciting Whiskeys of 2023.

TRANSCEND TRADITION Old Elk Bourbon uses four times more malted barley than conventional recipes and a Slow Cut proofing process. The Old Elk recipe includes three quality ingredients malted barley, rye, and corn. The additional malted barley, combined with spicy essence of clove from rye, and the traditional rich bourbon character from corn, creates the overall robust taste profile.

The Slow Cut proofing process used for Old Elk Bourbon enhances the bourbon's flavors through a patient process where full barrel proof bourbon is cut, left to rest, and then the process is repeated. While traditional proofing takes 24-48 hours, this slow cutting technique, developed over several test periods, takes significantly longer. This intentional time period allows the flavors to marry between stages, until the exact character is achieved, creating an overall smoother bourbon.

Our Old Elk Sour Mash Reserve is a nod to our start up roots. Inspired to craft smooth and innovative whiskey, we took our award-winning high-malt bourbon and began the journey to discover what would change experimenting with a different yeast. The robust foundation of the liquid anchors the heady complexities from the unique yeast. The result are 30 barrel batches of whiskey that transport you.
