High West Manhattan Barrel Finished Cocktail
High West Distillery & Saloon is Utah's first distillery since Prohibition and the only ski-in gastro-distillery globally, situated at the base of Park City's Quitting Time Ski Run. The High West Manhattan Barrel Finished, a bottled cocktail that yields 12 drinks, is a classic Manhattan cocktail blend of sweet vermouth, aromatic bitters, and High West's bourbon and rye whiskeys in a 2:1 ratio favoring whiskey, aged in used rye barrels and bottled at 74 proof. High West has received multiple awards, including "Distiller of the Year" by Whisky Advocate in 2016. The distillery has four locations, including a Wanship-based distillery that offers tours and tastings with a 1600-gallon copper-pot still, and a Saloon at Salt Lake City's airport.
Nose: Black cherry fruit leather, stewed strawberries, orange peel, molasses, cinnamon bark, sage
Taste: Cherry turnover, spiced apples, sun-dried raisins, candied orange rind, rosemary, savory spice
