The Bushmills Private Reserve Collection is a new series of small batch single malts hand selected with unique cask finishes, born from the original Irish single malt tradition that Bushmills pioneered.

This 12 Year Old single malt Irish whiskey is first matured in carefully selected bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks before finishing in tequila casks from Jalisco, Mexico.

TASTING NOTES
Creamy butterscotch leads into spiced vanilla complemented with a hint of black olive, anise and toasted oak. The legendary Bushmills malt is immediately evident with apples and sweet melon leading to a long warming vanilla entwined with anise and cinnamon finish.

Bottled at Cask Strength, our award-winning blend marries the sweetness of bourbon with the earthy spices of Irish pot still and the delicate butterscotch notes of Irish grain whiskey, to deliver a powerful and truly unique taste experience.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a more iconic name in the Irish whiskey world than "Jameson." The Jameson tradition dates all the way back to 1740, when John Jameson was born into a family whose motto, "Sine Metu" ("Without Fear"), was earned through the family's courage in fighting pirates on the high seas during the 1500s. John Jameson himself was a living embodiment of Sine Metu, and his ancestors' bravery inspired in John a boldness that led him not only to open his own distillery in the latter 18th century but also to pioneer the technique of triple-distilling whiskey now the gold standard in the Irish whiskey industry. John Jameson lived to be 83 an impressive feat for someone born in the 18th century and his descendants John II, John III, and John IV all honored his legacy by leading the distillery well into the 20th century. Jameson Irish Whiskey is crafted from a mash of malted and unmalted barley that is triple-distilled just as it was by John Jameson himself centuries ago through three separate copper-pot stills: a wash still, a feint still and, finally, a spirit still. The mash itself is made using barley, maize and pure Irish water, further adding to the unique character of the whiskey. Jameson Bow Street 18 Years is a special blend of rare pot still and grain Irish whiskeys produced at the Midleton distillery. After maturing for almost two decades, these whiskeys are married together, before being finished at the Jameson Distillery Bow Street in Dublin. Launched in 2018, this whiskey is Jameson's rarest release and is bottled once per year, at cask strength.

Hailing from the Hinch Distillery in Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland, this delightful Single Pot Still whiskey features oats in its mashbill, imparting a subtle creaminess. While the majority matures in bourbon casks, a small portion ages in sherry casks, adding a touch of spice to the overall character.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Delight in aromas of porridge and cream, accented by hints of lime zest and cinnamon spice.

Palate: Experience the indulgence of oat and raisin cookies alongside lemon shortbread, with a gradual build of spice.

Finish: Revel in a creamy, zesty conclusion, complemented by lingering peppery oak notes.

The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth is an extraordinary Blend made with a high-quality Single Grain and a very high percentage of Single Malt and Single Pot Still. It is a beautifully yellow gold colored whiskey with an unmistakable rich body. The nose often leads off with tropical fruits and vanilla notes. The journey continues with notes of malt, sweetness and dark chocolate, while more subtle notes of toffee fudge and cinnamon, add intensity. The whiskey concludes with a mellow, well balanced, sweet finish.

The Tyrconnell is an elevated, yet approachable single malt whiskey, best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. After a decade resting in bourbon barrels, The Tyrconnell Port Cask Finish is transitioned into port wine casks from the Duoro Valley in Portugal for an additional 6-8 months of aging. Bottled at 92 proof, the additional time spent in hand-selected port casks gives this single malt whiskey a nose that evokes baked apples and notes of roots. A warm sweetness recedes, allowing a finish characterized by a multitude of spices to move to the forefront.

St Kevin of Glendalough

The story of St Kevin is where we draw our inspiration. He abandoned safety and comfort to follow his passion and create something more meaningful in the mountains. Born of Irish royalty but a man apart, St Kevin disappeared into the mountains and became one with the wild. For 7 years he lived off the land by the upper lake of Glendalough and pondered his place in the world. He would stand and pray, arms outstretched and often up to his waist in the lake, just to add to the challenge. He did this so often and for so long, that one fateful day a blackbird landed in his hand.
He was so at one with nature, she felt safe enough to lay her eggs. This he took as a sign, as a test of his resolve. So he stood day and night until the eggs hatched and the chicks fledged.

One of many stories that spread around Ireland and inspired people to seek out this holy man and his deep, hidden valley. He eventually built his "City of 7 Churches" by the lower lake that still stands 14 centuries later.

Glendalough's Mizunara

Glendalough's Mizunara 7-year single malt is vivid, but delicate with seamless depth. It is vibrant, fruity, and floral on the nose, enjoying a luxuriously smooth mouthfeel with notes of dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon synonymous with Mizunara whiskeys. This unique whiskey benefits from an exceptionally long finish of toasted oak and oriental spices, with the dark chocolate lingering even longer.

Distilled in 1992, this Irish single malt was initially matured in hand-selected bourbon barrels for more than 10 years before being re-casked in 2004 to be finished in PX sherry casks. Bottled without chill filtration at 106 proof, it's a wonderfully mature 29-year-old whiskey.

Inspired by the "Peaky Blinders" TV series and based on an original recipe from the early 1900s, Bushmills Peaky Blinders Prohibition Recipe Irish Whiskey has fragrant hints of toffee, sage, and citrus and subtle notes of leather. This blended whiskey is capped with a rich amber hue and has a sweet taste with a smooth finish.

Since 1984, each Master Distiller of Midleton Very Rare uses their eye for detail, their passion for quality whiskey and their exemplary skill to create the pinnacle of Irish whiskey—our special vintage release. The latest chapter of this renowned collection is adorned with the signature of our Master Distiller, Kevin O’Gorman. After months of exploration, O’Gorman crafted a balanced blend of rare and hand-selected single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys from Midleton’s exclusive inventory to create this truly special release.

A combination of whiskey aged between 12 and 33 years and matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels, the Midleton Very Rare 2022 Vintage Release delights with decadent flavours and a tantalising aroma. The aroma, taste and finish of this whiskey will enliven the palates of those new to this collection while taking the seasoned whiskey collector on a journey through an exciting exploration of taste.

TASTING NOTES

AROMA: Fruit-led introduction with fresh citrus notes of mandarin and candied apple, while dustings of white pepper with grated nutmeg deliver subtle levels of spice that complement the rich and velvety tones of hazelnut chocolate and toffee. Carefully balanced, the charred oak works in tandem with the elegant grain character, elevating the delicate and nuanced fresh floral tones with the addition of sweet vanilla and warming toasted wood aromas.

TASTE: Caramelised red apples and orange zest with luscious, sweet, and decadent waves of crème brûlée that seamlessly intertwine with the pot still spices and cereal undertones, creating an intriguing and wonderful medley of fruits and spices.

FINISH: Rich and lasting finish in which the grain and pot still spices are the first to softly fade allowing the oak, after years of carefully maturing the spirit, to have the final say.

Midleton Dair Ghaelach, which means quite simply, Irish oak, is the result of a six-year exploration by the Midleton Masters into using native oak to mature Irish whiskey. Led by then Master of Maturation, Kevin O’Gorman, the two prerequisites for the project were to source Irish oak in a sustainable way, viable for the long-term, and to craft a new and outstanding style of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. This whiskey is a range of releases that have been matured in barrels made from virgin Irish oak from particular forests across Ireland. The oak selected for each release influences this special whiskey with the true and unique flavour of Ireland. Its provenance told in each sublime sip, this is the tale of our native oak striking harmony with the classically rich and spicy Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey character. This is a whiskey like no other. The story of each bottle of Midleton Dair Ghaelach can be traced right back to the very oak trees that helped to create its refined and unmistakable taste. Our Master Distiller, Darryl McNally, is fulfilling his lifelong dream to craft his own exceptional whiskey, by combining the precision of a whiskey Master and the spirit of Limavady’s namesake. Limavady will satisfy serious whiskey lovers but fits the bill for everyday enjoyment with whomever you choose to bring to the table.
