Bravewood Bourbon produces two bourbons: Bravewood Barrel Reserve & Bravewood New York Reserve - Straight Bourbon Whiskey each hand-crafted with American ingenuity and small batch care. Bravewood NY Straight Bourbon is distilled from New York grains (73% Corn, 14% Rye and 13% Malted Barley), then aged a minimum of 2 years in charred new American Oak barrels and bottled in NY.
For this premier flagship bottling, 5 barrels were selected at a specific age to showcase the mash bill and NY sourced grains. The barrel selection was comprised of 2 of the traditional 53-gallon size and 3 smaller 30-gallon barrels offering more wood to spirit ratio, imparting more flavor and color with less time. Bottled at 90 proof, this bourbon has pleasant notes of toasted oak, orchard fruit, vanilla and light toffee. It also has a very smooth and somewhat creamy mouthfeel, along with hints of chocolate and light tobacco spice.
