Our award-winning Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey, infused with Burleson’s Texas Wildflower Honey, resulting in a smooth, light bourbon with a sweet honey finish. Our Master Distiller transformed used bourbon barrels into small, wooden cubes that were immersed in honey. After fully absorbing it, they were placed in the belly of a stainless-steel tank, letting the bourbon soak up those delicious honey flavors every single day for seven months.

Enjoying a bottle of Garrison Brothers Small Batch Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is an experience unlike any other. Our bourbon is amber-crimson like a Texas sunset, darker, richer, and fuller than almost any other bourbon on the market.

We dont source whiskey from elsewhere and we never will. Our bourbon is made from corn-to-cork in Hye, Texas, one barrel at a time. It's handcrafted from a sweet mash of premium, #1 food-grade corn, soft red winter wheat from local farms, and two row barley.

Subtle nose of golden delicious apple-meat and honey. Sweet floral verbena, fresh cut grass, saddle leather, cinnamon and honey. Springtime flavors of honeysuckle and orange candy, yellow pound cake, baking spices, lemon gumdrops, and sugar cookies. Long and engrossing finish. Complex. Smoky county fair caramel apple sprinkled with walnuts and cinnamon.

It gives us great pleasure to introduce the beautiful Balmorhea. This magnificent Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is bold but majestically-crafted, having been aged four years in new American white oak barrels, then transferred to a second new American white oak barrel, and aged for one year. Simply put, this 2-time US Micro Whisky of the Year and San Francisco Double Gold winner is bourbon candy in a bottle.

In 2013, our Master Distiller Donnis Todd filled 22 new American white oak barrels from The Barrel Mill – a Minnesota cooperage – with freshly-distilled 114 proof white dog. The barrels were then aged in the relentless West Texas heat for two years. All the while, the liquid inside cycled through the wood’s pores and crevices, extracting every bit of flavor possible.

In 2015, Donnis lugged the barrels in from the barns and dumped the liquid into stainless steel tanks. He then rolled a few 27-gallon Kelvin Cooperage barrels from Louisville, Kentucky below the tank spigot and filled the barrels with the already two-year-old straight bourbon. This second round of barrels had far different lignin and chemical compositions than the original barrels because they had been scorched and toasted differently, caramelizing the sugars in a wonderful new way.

In 2017, the bourbon was dumped into a long, thin stainless steel trough we call The Whiskey Girl, and we all began nosing and tasting the results. After rounds of tear-filled high fives and brotherly hugs, we started talking about names – the easiest part of getting this sensational liquid to market.

WHAT IS BALMORHEA?
About 40 miles south of Pecos, Texas, there’s a little swimming hole called Balmorhea where I took my kids when they were young. The park’s name comes from four men’s surnames: E.D. Balcom, H.R. Morrow, John, and Joe Rhea. These men formed an irrigation company in the area in the early 20th century.

It’s rumored that big game hunters may have gathered at the springs in the Balmorhea area 11,000 years ago. Native Americans also swam the springs before the sadistic Spanish explorers came to the area. In 1849, the springs were known as Mescalero Springs, after the Mescalero Apache who watered their horses here.

To see the water flowing up from the underground spring into the canals is mesmerizing, undeniable evidence that God exists. Today, many are concerned that fracking could hurt the water quality or otherwise damage this beautiful child of Mother Nature.

The Garrison Brothers Single Barrel expression is the embodiment of unique, authentic bourbon and arguably, the Holy Grail of custom craftsmanship. Barrels selected for the program are a year older than most early vintages of the Texas Straight Bourbon and each barrel has its own distinct personality. While each barrel of Single Barrel is unique, the bourbon inside has a beautiful, dark copper color and long legs. The nose is more pronounced and delivers butterscotch, oak, vanilla, and nutmeg. This creates a warm and inviting environment, but it's the sweet oak flavor that really drives the taste.

Every now and then, Garrison Brothers releases one of the most highly-coveted bourbon whiskies in America: Cowboy Bourbon. This was the American Whiskey of the Year in Jim Murray’s 2014 & 2017 Whisky Bibles. It’s the ultimate ambrosia. Unlike the Small Batch, Cowboy Bourbon comes from Dan and Donnis’ favorite barrels. They’re set aside for a couple of years for further maturation and the liquid is bottled at cask-strength, uncut and unfiltered.

Inviting aromas of sweet pipe tobacco, full-grain leather and fresh-baked banana nut bread. Floral opening notes of wildflower honey and sparkling plum soda. Warm raspberry chocolate pie drizzled with whipped ganache. Chocolate-covered Luxardo cherries paired with fine armagnac for a dessert finish. A velvety-smooth, flawless sipper that packs plenty of 131.3-proof heat.

Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre - Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre Limousin Oak-Immersed Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a limited release, highly sought-after bourbon whiskey. For the lucky few able to get their hands on a bottle, treasure it and enjoy it with the ones you love on the most special occasions. After all, it took eight years to make – Garrison Brothers' oldest bourbon to date.

Like all of our bourbons, Lady Bird begins its life as our distinguished Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey. Master Distiller Donnis Todd selects barrels of this nectar that already display notes of honey, and delicately infuses them with Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey for an additional 8-9 months. The liquid then ages in exquisite French Cognac XO casks for an additional 3 years, resulting in a harmonious blend of unparalleled flavor and elegance. This double-finished masterpiece reflects the perfect balance between sweet honey notes and the rich complexity of cognac.

Our Lady Bird Bourbon greets you with the inviting aroma of freshly cut grass and sweet honey accompanied by subtle notes of black cocoa waffle cone and honey wafers, creating a warm and enticing experience.
